Sign up today for the flexibility and convenience of a Citizens Commerce checking account. We offer two types of accounts to meet your banking needs.

Citizens Choice Checking
You work hard for your money. Why not let it return the favor? With Citizens Choice Checking, your money does the work for you. We offer competitive interest rates, and you can earn a higher rate by maintaining a higher balance.

We’ll even waive our $10 monthly fee if you meet any of these requirements:

• Account has been open less than one month, OR
• Account receives at least one direct deposit during the statement cycle, OR
• Accountholder is a full-time student (student ID required), OR
• At least one accountholder is over the age of 50, OR
• Account maintains an average balance of $2,500, OR
• Five or more credit-signature based transactions per month that are initiated using your debit card.

Citizens Checking
Citizens Checking gives you complete flexibility. It offers the same great features as Citizens Choice Checking, but since your deposits don’t earn interest, there’s no monthly fees and no minimum balance.

Balance Protection

With Balance Protection, you never have to worry about overdrawing your account.  We can link your savings account to your checking account to protect you from overdrafts.  With each transfer, there is $5.00 fee.

ATM Access
Our debit cards work at any Alliance One ATM, and we’ll automatically refund any ATM surcharges up to $10 or 5 transactions per month.

eStatements
In an effort to protect the environment, Citizens Commerce charges a $2.00 monthly fee if you ask us to mail you paper statements.  Online statements, however, are absolutely free.  Each statement is available online for at least 24 months.  Also, if you choose to combine statements for two or more accounts, you'll only be charged one $2.00 monthly fee for all your accounts. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT
To combat terrorist and money-laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other identification information. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
